Indie pioneers The Charlatans have announced one of the most intimate shows of their career at The Georgian Theatre, Stockton on Tees on Saturday 12th March, 2011. . The 200 capacity historical venue hosts a rare acoustic show for the Indie godfathers currently undergoing a resurgance following 2010’s album “Who We Trust”. Single “Love is Ending”has seen the band back in manys songs of 2011 lists including 6Music’s.
It’s been a tumultuous period for the band with drummer Jon Brookes undergoing brain surgery, and beeing unable to play with the band since September, although he has now rejoined. Singer Tim Burges told thedailyrecord.co.uk, “Because of Jon‘s situation and because he has a clean bill of health, I want to make an album with him involved in it,” he explained. “I want to make that album quite soon” sparking rumours of new material.
Tim Burges and Mark Collins will be performing. Support comes from Aaron White, The Aprils and The Watchers. Seasoned festival headliners, this intamate venture is set to be a rare pleasure. Tickets are priced at £16 plus the usual extras
